To ensure a smooth kickoff and project, it’s most helpful if you come prepared with an open mind, any existing branding, content (text, images), and a general understanding of what you want out of the work together. I maintain a healthy, almost borderline obsessive, commitment to learning. While design is one obvious topic, I enjoy learning about the economy, biotechnology, fitness, food, and culture. I experiment with AI, fumble around in new tooling, and am often found identifying new ways to work.

I prefer fixed prices, offering one rate for a complete project. This lets me work creatively without watching the clock, while still delivering expert results using my deep design expertise paird with the latest AI tools.
If hourly works better, my rate is $100-120 per hour.
Since this isn’t my main income, I’m willing to work for free or exchange services if the situation is right.

I will offer 16 hours per month, either split between several projects or dedicated to a single project. Projects are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Once I commit to a client or project, I will stay dedicated. Let me know if this doesn't happen.
With kindness and forgiveness. Constant, aimless changes won’t be accepted because they hurt both of us. But I know that changing direction or rethinking things is part of reaching success. I live honestly and will point out issues, and I expect you to do the same if we stray off course.
I protect client privacy by being honest, fair, and clear. I work directly with you, without middlemen, so you can speak openly. Your information is always treated with care and respect. This trust, built over 15+ years in product design, is the foundation of my work.

I’m adaptable. From email to Zoom to Slack to old school phone calls, I can work with any tool as long as we have a predictable cadence for our communication.
Not only am I comfortable with it, but I also look forward to doing so. Cross-functional and cross-team collaboration is something that I do well and enjoy.
I first work to make sure our expectations are aligned. Then, communication needs to be clear and thoughtful. If there are creative differences, I’m happy to discuss. While I do bring a set of expertise that you likely desire, I’m not the only voice in the room. I will do what is best for our project and our audience/users.
